Widescreen Resolutions (Aspect Ratio approximates 16:9)

If you are using a widescreen display, there are several resolutions that will automatically scale and present the MPMe in a compatible format: 1366x768, 1360x768, or 1280x768.  The resolution you select for your computer will ultimately be determined by the capabilities of your monitor and its video adapter.

In order to optimize the visibility of key screen commands and visual elements, the MPMe is designed to present excellent functionality in both widescreen and standard aspect ratios.

At widescreen resolutions (below in figures G, H and I), it is possible to see most of the key MPMe controls at one time without scrolling.  For example, at 1360x768 resolution (G), the Key Data Match Category selector buttons, and the EFX play bars, are visible to the right of Player 3.

G

In image G above, the DJ has set focus on Player 1.  When a player receives "focus" (becomes the subject of attention), a green  READY TO PLAY  message is displayed below the timeline, and a bright blue border light appears around the player window edges.  These are some of the "Ready Player Visual Cues" that are part of SmartFocus™ technology.  In the Media Player Mixer Express™ (MPMe), when a player has focus it can be started with one press of the SPACEBAR or ENTER key, or a mouse click on its Play button; which can also trigger a smooth segue if Auto Fade is on.

Also in image G above, the Resident Attribute Key Data Match feature is activated, but not yet applied.  With the filter off, the user is free to choose from any of the FIVE different search categories depicted for the active search group (Search Group One):  Title, Artist (selected), Music Type, Decade, or Tempo.  The EFX play button bars are also visible to the right of Player 3.

Unlike the standard aspect ratio (4:3) 1280 x 1024 resolution which shows EVERY key control and message display without scrolling, this 1360 x 768 widescreen image displays MOST key operational control objects, but requires the user to scroll down in order to see additional EFX Player A, B and C controls (and other configuration buttons).  To see how the display can change when the user applies a Key Data Match filter, check out the next image (H) below.

H

Like the preceding screen picture, image H above is also a widescreen capture that shows the MPMe with a high-contrast black background and the teal logo theme.  However, image H is from a monitor configured at 1280x768 resolution.

At the moment the user started Player 2, the Media Player Mixer Express™ (MPMe) automatically transferred focus to Player 3—which accepted focus because it was loaded and ready to play.  Observe the focus state visual effects created here, which include a bright green neon glow around the letters on the Play 3 button.  Notice also that the value "3" is displayed in the Player Ready Focus indicator (screen right, near top).

In screen shot H, the KDM (Key Data Match) filter has been applied on the DECADE value connected with the track loaded in Player 3.  Since the Player 3 track has a decade attribute of "2000", the filter will limit display of search results only to tracks that have the SAME decade attribute.  The lavander back color seen in affected data boxes is part of the visual screen cue system used to signal active filter states to the operator.

In the MPMe, the user pre-determines which Key Data Match filter is invoked by choosing one of the five KDM categories (Artist, Decade, Music Type, Music Code or Tempo) before applying the filter.  To apply a Key Data Match filter, the user simply double-clicks on the artist label displayed for any track loaded in primary player 1, 2 or 3.

In the MPMe, our FlowFocus™ logic constantly monitors the LOAD-READY-PLAY states of all three primary players.  And, using information evaluated in that process, our optical FlowCue™ display visually guides the DJ through music sets.  With the MPMe, you can actually see and UNDERSTAND the virtual mixer status, and the recommended play order sequence, of all players with a quick glance.

Focus on Combo Box  -- 1360 x 768 resolution   (Widescreen)                                    Read image description below

I

Image I above depicts a widescreen 1360 x 768 resolution capture that illustrates the results of the applied Key Data Match filter executed on the DECADE attribute for the Lady Gaga track loaded in Player 3.  The combo box list shows a summary of available tracks from the "2000" decade (encompassing years of release from 2000-2009).

This demonstrates how the MPMe Key Data Match filter allows the DJ to find all 2000-era tracks with just one mouse click.  And it works the same magic with songs from the 90s, 80s, 70s, 60s, and 1950s—and also with music genres, artists, and tempo-matching too!  (LOOKING for a mobile DJ service that uses the MPMe software?  Click HERE.)

The lavander back color (denoting an active filter) is visible in the summary list and also behind the number "68" depicted in the TDC (Title Display Count) box situated next to the Remove Filter button.  The value 68 means that the applied filter has found 68 tracks in the MMB catalog (and on the computer hard drive) that match the filter criteria.

NOTE: For image I above, the combo box summary list has focus, and no player has focus.  Therefore, each primary player (1, 2 and 3) is shown WITHOUT the visual elements that signal focus (as seen in images G and H above).
